What we list

The Duncanville Arts Foundation publishes events on Duncanville fyi that meet the following criteria:

• The event takes place in Duncanville, Texas, or is directly relevant to Duncanville’s cultural life.
• The event is arts or cultural in nature. We organize listings under seven categories: Music, Visual Art, Theater, Literary, Workshop, Community, and Youth.
• The event is open to the public. Free events, ticketed events, and registration-required events all qualify. Invite-only events do not.
• The event is organized by a recognized entity. Working artists, arts organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, educational institutions, places of worship, and community groups are eligible.
• The submission includes accurate date, time, location, and organizer contact information.

What we don’t list

• Regularly scheduled programming that doesn’t have distinct upcoming dates, such as ongoing weekly worship services, exercise classes, or retail hours.
• Private events such as weddings, family reunions, or birthday parties.
• Business advertisements, retail promotions, garage sales, or commercial events without a cultural component.
• Content that promotes hate, harassment, or illegal activity.
• Events where the information cannot be reasonably verified.

How review works

The Foundation reviews submissions on a weekly cycle. Events submitted by Sunday evening are considered for the following Tuesday’s publication. Approval rests with the Foundation’s editorial team.

We may edit submissions for clarity, length, accuracy, and house style. We may decline to publish events that don’t meet the criteria above, that duplicate existing listings, or that lack sufficient information.

If we decline your submission, we will reach out to explain why and discuss whether the event can be revised for future publication. Editorial decisions are made by the Foundation’s editorial team and are final.
