Armstrong Park Cultural District
Duncanville’s city-designated Cultural District anchors downtown along James Collins Boulevard, spanning Armstrong Park and the civic core that surrounds it. The district was established by the City of Duncanville to recognize and develop a concentrated zone of cultural activity, public art, and community life.

The cultural center of gravity for outdoor programming in Duncanville. Armstrong Park hosts the Independence Day celebration, BloomFest, Movies in the Park, and seasonal community events. The Poe-Hobden Amphitheater seats audiences for live music and performance under the open sky.

A community hub for adults 50 and over, with classes in ceramics, dance, and exercise, plus rotating programming throughout the year. The Center’s dining hall and stage make it a working venue for arts events of city-wide interest, including the Foundation’s annual Ellafair celebration.

Duncanville sits in the Best Southwest area of Dallas County, roughly fifteen minutes from downtown Dallas and twenty minutes from Dallas Love Field. The Cultural District is walkable along James Collins Boulevard, with free parking at each venue. The Duncanville Community Theatre and Arts Junction are a short drive west on Center Street toward Main.
